Our teachers are all specialists in differentiation, creating a universal learning environment for our students and ensuring an environment that is driven by total student engagement. As part of our move into the new year and semester, we are looking for an Art Teacher/Specialist who is experienced and excited about working within our High School
.

Requirements
  • OCT or compatible designation/ if teaching designation is from another province or country, the teacher must be willing to apply for the OCT designation.
  • Experience teaching and facilitating Art Curriculum, with the ability to extend the Arts programming into the area of technology (lesson plans and a sample portfolio will be required upon an interview).
  • Confidence and experience delivering curriculum within a Junior High and High School environment.
  • Strength and comfort in assessing, reporting and implementing student success criteria.

  • Strong collaboration skills, with the ability to engage and work with students at all levels, in addition to parents and colleagues, positive approach to the day, with the "glass half full" viewpoint, as well as a true love for teaching the ability to flex and adjust a lesson, a focus or a plan for the benefit of the students.
  • Exceptional classroom management skills, including being well organised with one's tools, supplies, lesson plans, etc. Remember - this role reaches across all High School Grade levels and student abilities.
  • This includes the ability to move from class to class and grade level to grade level.
