** Position

Purpose:

** Reporting to the Senior Manager, Graduate Student Services Centre, promotes Telfer School of Management graduate programs by fostering the success and satisfaction of enrolled students. To this end, advises students on their academic path from enrolment to graduation and supports them in their personal and professional growth.
** In this role, your responsibilities will include:
**** Academic Path and Student Retention**
* ** Advice to students:
** Give advice to students in order to help them fully integrate into their programs and campus life with a view to their future careers. Provide information and advice on programs, how the thesis process works, experiential activities (consultancy projects and internships), degree requirements, and departments, agencies, institutions and services, both inside and outside the University. Meet with students to help them identify their best options for their career path and, with this in mind, explore what their objectives should be and how to achieve them.
* ** Personalized follow-up:
** Meet with students to follow their progress and take measures adapted to their needs in order to improve their chances of success. Design action plans with students and relevant partners. Provide timely follow-up and intervene when required.
* ** Liaison:
** Check that students have been properly referred to the right service or resource-person. Collaborate with various student associations to maximize the student experience.
* ** Development workshops:
** Help plan, organize and host career and personal development workshops. Identify and suggest resource-persons capable of leading these workshops, based on their field of expertise. Participate in events, as required, and conduct follow-up with the various parties concerned.
** Operations Management**
* ** Academic operations:
** Provide guidance on course selection and enrolment process to help students make informed choices. Approve course selections, conduct thesis administration, complete the relevant forms, oversee various processes, and follow up with students to ensure the program runs well.
* ** Experiential activity coordination:
** Assist program leadership in preparing experiential activities, including by providing related support and guidance. When necessary, liaise with third parties, such as employers, agencies, partners, to complete the projects proposed. Match students to activities and follow up as required to evaluate these pairings.
* ** Theses:
** Organize the oral defence of master’s and doctoral theses. Maintain close ties with those responsible for thesis supervision, both internally and externally, and with the Research Office.
* ** Awards and prizes:
** Facilitate the nomination process for prizes and awards in cooperation with Financial Aid and Awards, the Telfer School of Management Research Office and external partners, e.g. individuals, alumni community associations.
