Work Arrangement:
This position is primarily remote, with occasional in-office attendance required for in-person training sessions and team meetings.
Job PurposeThe Head Trainer supports OREB’s Learning strategy by developing, delivering, and maintaining high-quality educational content for members and stakeholders.
This role is responsible for lesson planning, instructional delivery, and the coordination of both live and digital learning initiatives to ensure consistency, relevance, and excellence across OREB’s training programs.
Working collaboratively with the Learning Department, the Head Trainer contributes to the creation of scalable learning resources, supports eLearning course development and updates, and plays a key role in promoting professionalism and continuous learning within organized real estate.
Duties and Responsibilities- Facilitate 2-3 sessions per month in accordance with the provided lesson plans and the latest legislation, regulations, rules and policies.
- Set‑up and coordination of quarterly sessions on the Learning Hub
- Scheduling instructor technology sessions
- Sending invitations to internal and external instructors
- Uploading session to OREB’s Learning Hub
- Collaborate with OREB’s Learning Department to create and update lesson plans and materials.
- Creation of short form “Quick Tips” training videos and materials.
- Video editing of recorded sessions, as needed.
- Assist with eLearning course updates and maintenance (e.g., New Member Orientation, Volunteer Orientation).
- Support the Manager, Learning & Events with creation of new eLearning courses.
- Coordinate with the Learning Department to create and facilitate an annual Instructor Lunch & Learn. Promote a culture of excellence and professionalism within organized real estate.
- Submit invoices and paperwork in a timely fashion.
- Sit on task forces and volunteer committees, as required.
- Other admin duties as assigned.
- Punctual and organized, with an aptitude for teaching online and in-person.
- Willingness and ability to learn and adapt to new systems, platforms, and technologies as required.
- Demonstrated ability to follow processes, multitask, prioritize, and work independently under tight or shifting deadlines.
- Superior communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Exceptional time management, and organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
- Experience working in organized real estate as an Agent, Broker and/or Admin Staff.
- Experience with REALM® and/or Matrix™ and Add/Edit.
- Experience working with Zoom and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience designing, delivering, and evaluating professional development or training programs using varied methodologies and tools is an asset.
- Experience with Learning Management Systems (e.g., Docebo), e-learning tools (e.g., Articulate), and video editing (e.g., Camtasia); basic understanding of HTML/CSS and other e-learning applications is an asset.
