The Department of Mathematics at Wilfrid Laurier University invites applications for a Tenure Track faculty position at the Assistant Professor level in Mathematics and Statistics beginning July 1, 2026
, subject to budgetary approval. The primary campus location for this position is the Waterloo campus; however, teaching responsibilities may include instruction at the Brantford or Milton campuses via in-person or virtual delivery.
Anticipated Salary Range: $90,000 to $135,000. Actual salary to be commensurate with experience.
Duties and responsibilities of the position will include undergraduate and graduate teaching and supervision; research, including the establishment of an externally funded research program; and service‑related activities.
Applicants must
- hold a Doctorate Degree (Ph.D.) in Mathematics, statistics or a closely related area,
- demonstrate an excellent research record and the potential to build a strong, independent research program in mathematics or statistics,
- preference will be given to applicants working in Pure or Applied Mathematics or any area that supports the Department’s programs,
- demonstrate an excellent teaching record or show strong evidence of potential excellence in teaching.
Applicants should submit a complete application package consisting of a cover letter, a curriculum vitae, at most three recent publications, a one‑ or two‑page statement of current and prospective research interests, a teaching dossier that includes a statement addressing teaching experience in mathematics or statistics, and at least three letters of reference, one of which significantly addresses the teaching ability of the applicant, addressed to:
