Overview
Kindergarten Support (Intermittent) – $25.03/hour plus vacation pay.
Intermittent Staff Member (Non-Certified Teacher & Student Support Worker – Classroom Supervisor, Non-Affiliated & Intermittent Staff Member [CUPE]). The Ottawa Catholic School Board (OCSB) is seeking Intermittent Staff Members to support a range of roles including Student Support Worker, Kindergarten Support Worker, Office Assistant, and Library Clerk. Applicants may choose the schools they are interested in supporting;
Classroom Supervisor assignments can only be accepted the morning of the vacancy. A reference from a permanent OCSB staff member is required.

Role and ResponsibilitiesThe Intermittent Staff Member will work under the direction of the school principal and the instructional supervision of the classroom teacher. Roles may include:
- Student Support Worker (supporting students who may be developmentally delayed, physically challenged, deaf, blind, or experiencing social/emotional and behavioral difficulties)
- Kindergarten Support Worker (assisting the classroom teacher in a kindergarten class)
- Office Assistant
- Library Clerk
Additional information: applicants may have the option of selecting the schools they wish to support. Family of roles and assignments vary by vacancy.
Required Qualifications- Over 18 years of age;
High School graduate. - Preference will be given to current university or college students or graduates of a related program.
- Experience working with children with a variety of physical, learning, intellectual, and behavioral differences.
- Experience working with students from different cultural backgrounds.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of teaching practices or previous work with children and youth is an asset.
- All successful candidates must provide a valid Vulnerable Police Check dated 6 months or less at onboarding; failure to do so will disqualify.
- Classroom Supervisor: $144.23/day + 4% vacation pay.
- Student Support (Intermittent): $26.24/hour.
- Kindergarten Support (Intermittent): $25.03/hour plus vacation pay.
- Library Clerk (Intermittent): $26.24/hour plus vacation pay.
- Office Assistant (Intermittent): $26.24/hour plus vacation pay.
