:This course introduces key accounting and financial management concepts in healthcare, covering key topics such as financial reporting, budgeting, cost allocation and decision making as these apply specifically to healthcare organizations. Students will learn how healthcare executives use financial data to improve performance through experiential learning involving case studies, industry examples and guest speakers.

Requirements:
Must have an MBA/MHA or Master's degree (PhD preferred) in an area directly related to accounting and financial practices. Must also demonstrate recent professional industry experience in a finance role within a healthcare organization. This course is delivered primarily asynchronously. Demonstrated experience in the development or delivery of asynchronous course content would be considered an asset.
Teaching mode:
