OverviewUnder the direction of the Continuing Education Officer, the instructor will provide instruction to adult learners.
Role and Responsibilities- TESL Ontario Certification; knowledge of relevant board policies and procedures.
- Understanding of adult education, including English as a Second Language (ESL); familiarity with Canadian Language Benchmarks, education environment and board procedures and operations.
- Organization and time‑management skills to prioritise work and manage multiple tasks with conflicting priorities on short timelines.
- Interpersonal, oral and written communication skills required for effective interaction with colleagues and students from diverse communities.
- Presentation skills and ability to create a classroom atmosphere of respect, trust and cooperation.
- Maintenance of all relevant certifications; continued uwezo in TESL Ontario or equivalent ESL qualifications (CTESL, ESL Part I & II).
$37.04 to $46.84 per hour.
