Bus Attendant (Temporary)

We are seeking a Bus Attendant to support students ncis of Assisi and St. Matthew HS. The position is temporary, starting as soon as possible and concluding on February 27, 2026, with the possibility of extension.

• Assist with bus loading and unloading of children in developmental education programs.
• Ensure students’ comfort and safety during transportation.
• Work closely with school staff and the vehicle driver to facilitate safe transfer of students to and from school.
• Maintain appropriate documentation as required.
• Uphold confidentiality of student information.

• Secondary School Diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience working with children with exceptionalities (considered an asset).
• Previous school board experience (considered an asset).
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Team player with good decision-making ability.
• Up-to-date First Aid and CPR qualifications (considered an asset).
• Ability to provide an Original Police Record check for the vulnerable sector at the completion of a successful interview.

Split shifts (morning and afternoon routes) 5 days per week, except PD days and regular school breaks.

• St. Francis of Assisi bell times: 9:15 am‑3:45 pm

• St. Matthew HS bell times: 8:30 am & 2:45 pm

Hourly wage: $23.32 per hour plus 4 % in lieu of vacation pay.
