Grade 2/3 English + Grade 5/6 P&P 1.00 FTE – Ottawa Catholic School Board
A Long Term Occasional teaching position for grades 2/3 English and grades 5/6 P&P covering a teacher on leave. This role will be based at one of the 91 Ottawa Catholic School Board schools.
Responsibilities- Provide full coverage for an individual teacher on leave in the assigned grades.
- Deliver curriculum‑aligned lessons and assessments in English (Grades 2/3) and P&P (Grades 5/6).
- Maintain student progress records and support classroom management.
- Collaborate with the regular teacher and support staff to ensure continuity of instruction.
- Good standing with the Ontario College of Teachers.
- Completed Sexual Abuse Prevention Training through OCT.
- Experience teaching in primary or secondary grades equivalent to the assignment.
- Strong communication and classroom management skills.
Salary determined under Article 32 of the OECTA Collective Agreement; $51,234 to $119,943 effective September 1, 2025. Assignment term is a Long Term Occasional assignment (duration as per board).

- Each of those three will be contacted; if declined, the next senior qualified applicant is contacted, ensuring at least five applicants are considered.
- If fewer than three qualified teachers apply, the board selects from the qualified applicants.
- If no qualified occasional teachers apply or all decline, the board may hire an external qualified teacher not on the roster.
