Position
Long Term Occasional (LTO) Teacher – coverage for a teacher on leave.
Eligibility- Current OCSB employee must use OCSB ATE account (or OCSB email) to apply; personal email submissions may not be reviewed.
- Must be in good standing with the Ontario College of Teachers.
- Successful completion of the Sexual Abuse Prevention Training through OCT.
- Not currently employed by the OCSB must submit a negative PRC for the Vulnerable Sector dated within the last six months.

Salary is determined in accordance with Article 32 of the OECTA Collective Agreement. Effective September 1, 2025, teacher salaries will range from $51,234.00 to $.
Application Process- All applications must be submitted through Apply to Education. Incomplete applications will not be considered.
- The school board will identify the three most senior applicants to the LTO assignment posting who are available for the assignment and hold the required qualifications.
- An LTO Teacher shall be considered available if they have not already been assigned to another LTO position during the term.
- Each of the three most senior applicants will be contacted to confirm their interest. If any decline, the board will contact the next most senior qualified applicant, ensuring that five candidates are considered.
- If fewer than three qualified applicants apply, the board will select the successful applicant from the qualified applicants.
- If no qualified occasional teachers apply or all decline, the board may hire an external qualified teacher, not on the OCSB roster, to fill the assignment.
- Successful candidates not currently employed by the OCSB will be required to pass the OT interview process.
