Casual Early Childhood Educator – Ottawa Catholic School Board

Job Description

The board is seeking Casual Early Childhood Educators to partner with classroom teachers in planning and implementing a full day early learning programme. Responsibilities include collaborating in the design of high‑quality, play‑based programmes and environments, and supporting the physical, cognitive, emotional and social development of kindergarten‑age children within a Catholic learning environment.

Responsibilities
  • Plan and implement a full day early learning programme under the direction of the Principal.
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers to design high‑quality play‑based programmes and environments.
  • Support enhanced physical, cognitive, emotional and social development of children in a Catholic context.
  • Be available to work on call during regular school hours at various school locations.
Required Qualifications
  • Early Childhood Education diploma or degree.
  • Registration with the Ontario College of Early Childhood Education.
  • Recent experience with kindergarten‑age children preferred.
  • Current First Aid and CPR certification.
Preferred Experience
  • Bilingualism.
  • Experience working in a school setting.
  • Minimum two years of relevant experience.
Salary and Benefits

Hourly rate of $26.79 plus 4% in lieu of vacation.
