The Centre Block Rehabilitation Project is a complex long-term heritage renovation, rehabilitation, and rejuvenation project of national interest within the Parliamentary Precinct. The project is serviced by CENTRUS, a dedicated, multi-disciplinary team with members from A49 and other joint venture organizations. Working from Canada’s national capital, the team is focused on the extensive renovation, repair, upgrade, and replacement of various crucial components of the building.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the production of architectural design solutions and construction drawings.
  • Manage a group of architectural staff, leading project meetings, and coordinating all other building disciplines on multi-disciplinary projects.
  • Perform internal reviews and quality checks of the drawings to ensure compliance with standards and guidelines. 
  • Qualifications

  • Registered architect in Ontario (OAA), or eligibility to be registered.
  • 10+ years experience.
  • Knowledge of conservation design principles.
  • Familiarity with both Provincial and National related standards and codes.
  • Knowledge of BIM principles & workflows, REVIT software, Microsoft 365 environment and Bluebeam.
  • Specialized training in Heritage Conservation would be considered an asset.
  • Bilingualism (English & French) is an asset.
