Role descriptionWe are seeking a Senior Interior Designer with a passion for crafting innovative and inspiring workplace environments, as well as expertise in commercial and other sectors. This role offers the opportunity to lead impactful projects and collaborate with a dynamic team in a growing market.
As a Senior Interior Designer, you will take ownership of projects from concept to completion with minimal supervision. You will engage directly with clients, ensuring their vision is brought to life while delivering exceptional results. You will thrive in both independent and team settings, demonstrating strong leadership and problem‑solving skills.
In addition to project delivery, you will play an active role in business development, building relationships with clients and stakeholders to drive new opportunities. You will also mentor and expand our talented team in Ottawa.
Responsibilities- Manage the interior design component of concurrent projects
- Lead the design and execution of workplace and commercial projects, coordinating design, production, contract administration, and financials
- Collaborate directly with clients to understand their needs, present creative solutions, and ensure design excellence
- Manage projects independently, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met
- Be actively involved with consultants for procurement, coordination, and management
- Contribute to business development efforts by identifying new opportunities, building client relationships, and expanding our presence in the market
- Inspire, mentor, and support the local team, fostering a collaborative and innovative work culture
- A minimum of 8 years of progressive commercial interior design experience
- CIDA-accredited Degree/Diploma in Interior Design and registration as an Interior Designer with ARIDO
- Experience managing interior design projects from start to finish
- Conceptual design expertise, strong technical knowledge, knowledge of furniture systems, and construction administration experience
- Proven leadership skills, including design leadership
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Design excellence and design leadership skills
- Proficiency in Revit (mandatory), AutoCAD, Sketch Up, and Adobe Creative Suite
- Passion for design innovation, business development, and team growth
- Highly motivated, organized, and able to work both independently and as part of a team

SalaryThe salary range for this position is $80,000 to $100,000. The base salary represents Arcadis’ hiring range for this position. Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors such as location, skills, experience, and qualification for the role.
