Estimator – Paving & Construction

Are you an analytical and detail-oriented Estimator with experience in civil construction and asphalt/paving projects? Do you thrive on preparing accurate and competitive bids for high-impact projects? If so, we want to hear from you!

Our client is a well-established construction and paving company specializing in road building, parking lots, multi-use pathways, and residential driveways. They handle both private and public projects, including federal sites requiring security clearance.

• Analyze project plans, specs, and contracts to prepare precise cost estimates
• Perform material take-offs and quantity calculations
• Prepare and submit competitive bids for public and private projects
• Work closely with suppliers and subcontractors for the best pricing
• Develop cost breakdowns for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractors
• Assist in project scheduling and budgeting
• Stay updated on market pricing trends and industry costs

• Experience in construction estimating (roadwork, grading, paving preferred)
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and contracts
• Proficiency in estimating software & Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
• Strong analytical, communication, and negotiation skills
• Understanding of public and private sector bidding processes
• Security clearance eligibility for federal site work
