Job Description

Our established construction client is seeking a Project Coordinator to join their team in Ottawa. The Project Coordinator will support project performance by managing costs, schedules, site contract reporting, and ensuring strong relationships with trades, subcontractors, and clients. This is a full-time, permanent position based out of our client’s Ottawa office. Responsibilities:
  • Ensure project construction aligns with design, budget, schedule, and standards.
  • Communicate with clients, consultants, and design professionals while guiding site supervisors and construction personnel.
  • Distribute essential documents like drawings, schedules, and locates to relevant team members.
  • Manage Plan Grid for project uploads and provide field support.
  • Organize, update, and maintain contract documents, including drawings and change orders.
  • Assist with project scheduling and tracking updates in MS Project.
  • Maintain and process all project paperwork, RFIs, and site documentation.
  • Attend and document site meetings, providing updates to stakeholders.
  • Monitor project progress with the Project Manager, addressing issues as needed.
  • Handle project closeout tasks, including creating manuals and managing security access paperwork.
  • Qualifications:
  • 1-2 years of project coordination experience in a construction-related role.
  • Must be eligible for a Secret (Level II) clearance.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to multi-task effectively.
  • Effective verbal, written, and presentation communication skills.
  • Knowledge of construction terminology, estimating, blueprint reading, scheduling, and planning is a strong asset.
  • Capable of working independently or collaboratively as part of a team with minimal supervision.
  • A valid driver’s license and access to personal vehicle is needed to visit construction sites.
