Job Summary

The Project Support Officer is responsible for conducting research and analysis in support of the program.

Responsibilities
  • Plan and coordinate activities related to various databases by researching, analyzing, compiling information, recommending and preparing various reports.
  • Develop and manage procedures and methodologies to be used by SMC (Senior Management Committee) for achieving Branch objectives; including qualitative and quantitative measures, based on informational databases and any other ad hoc systems.
  • Administer projects by scheduling tasks, monitoring progress and advising personnel to ensure that requirements and deadlines are met.
  • Research and produce internal/external documents and statistics related to the program.
  • Assess information and provide support to meet managerial and operational requirements for plans and policies related to the program.
  • Act as a resource person by consulting and informing various units' Heads on issues and providing assistance related to the Unit's databases.
Education
  • Undergraduate degree
  • College diploma
  • An acceptable combination of education, training, and experience.

The undergraduate degree/College Diploma must be in the field of studies needed for the position. It must be obtained from an accredited learning institution recognized in Canada. If you completed a program outside of Canada, you will be required to obtain proof of a Canadian equivalency at your expense from an accredited learning institution recognized in Canada.

Any higher level of education (i.e.: Masters, Doctorate) in a related field of study could be recognized as experience.

Experience
  • Experience in project coordination, including scheduling tasks, monitoring progress, and making informed recommendations to ensure deadlines are met.
  • Experience conducting research and creating, maintaining, and updating project documentation, including reports, meeting minutes, and status updates, to ensure accurate and timely information dissemination, informed decision-making, and seamless project tracking and evaluation.
  • Experience maintaining financial budgets, forecasts, and expenditure.
  • Experience participating in business improvement projects/initiatives or business transformation initiatives in support of organizational change management efforts.
  • Experience building, maintaining, and nurturing effective relationships with partners, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams, fostering a culture of collaboration, to achieve shared objectives.
