- General knowledge of Section’s functions, in order to answer questions related to the responsibilities of the position.

- Understanding and commitment to trade union and social issues.
- Sound knowledge of English and French (oral and written) and associated communications skills.
- Data / information gathering methods and techniques.
- Basic office procedures, such as filing, correspondence, faxing, sorting mail, etc.
- Ability to process numbers and utilize mathematical formulas.
- Ability to organize work responsibilities to meet multiple and competing priorities and strict deadlines.
- Good interpersonal skills, and a demonstrated ability to work cooperatively with others in a team environment.
High degree of initiative and good judgement.
What you need to know:- Second language level indicated above is based on the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). Preferred candidates may have their second language skills assessed as part of the hiring process. However, valid federal government SLE results can be used toward this.
