Job Description & How to Apply Below

The opportunity

Our client is hiring an entrepreneurial General Manager / Operations Lead to run a PE‑backed diagnostic center & complementary business. They need a true operations leader to take ownership of day‑to‑day execution across the pair of healthcare services businesses. You will be embedded in the operation, working alongside teams and physician leaders to improve how the business runs. You will have the authority to change how work gets done, introduce structure where it’s missing, and hold teams to clear standards.

In the first 6–12 months, you will stabilize and modernize operations; beyond that, you will focus on growth, efficiency, and capacity expansion. Success is measured in tangible improvements to throughput, staff productivity, patient satisfaction, and profitability.

More than strategic oversight, this role is for an operator who is comfortable being in the working environment, and accountable for outcomes.

This existing vacancy is a full time hybrid role working 4 days on‑site in North GTA.

Who you are

You are more than a thought leader. You are an action‑oriented solutions implementer who measures success by tangible results. You want to see the impact of your work quickly and clearly, and you are comfortable rolling up your sleeves to make change happen. You thrive in a role where you can bring structure and progress to an environment overflowing with potential.

You bring a strong bias for action and ownership. You are comfortable making decisions and taking full accountability for outcomes.

You prefer doing over debating, ownership over influence, and results over theory. You are looking for a role where your judgment, energy, and execution skills directly shape the success of the business.

Why this role?

This is an opportunity to apply your operational judgment to propel a company to the next level as you lead an exciting transformation. You will have the autonomy to take what exists, improve how it runs, and drive measurable results. You will deliver leadership, consistency, and follow‑through.

You will have a direct line of sight between the changes you make and the outcomes they produce, better patient flow, higher staff productivity, improved service levels, and stronger EBITDA. Your impact will be visible, tangible, and tied directly to compensation.

As you prove your ability to take ownership, move quickly, and turn ambiguity into action, you will gain recognition and influence. This is a genuine opportunity to accelerate your career as a leader, including the potential to lead operations for new acquisitions.

You will:
  • Own and run the operations. You will take full operational leadership of multiple complementary healthcare services businesses, with clear accountability for workflow efficiency, service levels, and financial performance. Under your leadership, you will ensure both research and diagnostic services operations run smoothly and predictably, with measurable gains in efficiency and margin.
  • Build teams that operate with clarity and accountability. You will lead, coach, and develop front‑line teams, setting clear expectations and performance standards. You will address gaps quickly and thoughtfully, creating a culture where staff understand their roles, take ownership of outcomes, and continuously improve how the business operates.
  • Establish operational discipline and visibility. You will introduce practical operating systems, KPIs, and management routines that bring transparency across functions. You will drive better decision‑making, consistency, and sustained improvements in both operational and financial performance.
  • Optimize flow, productivity, and resource use. You will identify and implement improvements to patient flow, scheduling, staffing models, and overall resource utilization. This includes, evaluating and recommending if needed EMR upgrades, facilities and customer service improvements, and implementing standards of practice. You will reduce friction across the operation, improve the patient experience, and increase staff productivity while continuing to prioritize quality of care.
  • Be a trusted partner to physician leadership. You will collaborate…
