Automotive Detailer

Responsibilities

The role involves cleaning, refurbishing, and detailing automobiles, performing duties as listed below.

• Cleans and refurbishes automobiles, washing the vehicle exterior using cleaning solution, water, cloths, and brushes
• Applies wax to the auto body and wipes or buffs surfaces to protect and preserve shine, using a cloth or buffing machine
• Vacuums interiors of vehicles to remove loose dirt and debris
• Cleans upholstery, rugs, and other surfaces with cleaning agents, applicators, and cleaning devices
• Applies revitalizers and preservatives to vinyl or leather surfaces, and treats fabrics with spot- and stain-resistant chemicals
• Cleans engine and engine compartment with steam cleaning equipment to remove grease and grime
• Applies special purpose cleaners to remove foreign materials, following product manufacturer recommendations
• Applies paint to chipped body surfaces using touchup paint
• Shuttling customers as requested by Front Office

• High School Diploma or equivalent and a valid state driver’s license with a good driving record
• Valid G class Driver License
• Prior detailing experience may be preferred
• Attention to detail with strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to meet the physical demands of the position, including walking, crouching, bending, and standing for extended periods
