In this role, you will provide high‑level executive support to Senator Chantal Petitclerc, an independent member of the Senate of Canada representing Québec, whose parliamentary priorities include the rights of persons with disabilities, health and social policy, as well as inclusive public policy. The Senator’s areas of interest also extend to the rights and well‑being of children and youth, as well as the promotion of physical activity.
Responsibilities- Managing the Senator’s calendar, meetings, and daily activities, demonstrating strong organizational skills and autonomy;
- Keeping the Senator informed of her engagements and legislative priorities through accurate reminders and briefings;
- Responding promptly and professionally to inquiries from citizens, partners, and stakeholders, ensuring effective public service;
- Preparing briefing materials, drafting correspondence, and providing administrative support for the Senator’s legislative and public work;
- Organizing and coordinating events, meetings, and committee‑related activities, including conferences, round tables, and receptions, while demonstrating initiative and a strong attention to detail;
- Supporting communications and the visibility of the Senator’s work, including newsletters, social media, and public communications;
- Coordinating travel logistics and other operational requirements, demonstrating discretion and reliability;
- Demonstrating an interest in Québec public affairs and an understanding of how provincial priorities intersect with federal initiatives.

Prerequisites- Post‑secondary education in business administration, office administration, communications, or a combination of relevant education, training, and professional experience;
- Proven experience providing administrative and financial services in an office environment, including drafting formal correspondence, preparing briefing materials and reports, formatting documents, organizing and scheduling meetings, and managing electronic filing systems;
- Strong research, analytical, and communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey complex information to diverse audiences, including the public, stakeholders, media, and public officials;
- Extensive experience using the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.);
- Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast‑paced environment, prioritize responsibilities, and meet deadlines;
