Position Summary
The Off-Campus Housing Coordinator oversees all aspects of building operations including tenant relations, lease signing, office administration, housekeeping, maintenance, finance, and staff development. The Coordinator must possess strong communication skills, demonstrate leadership, delegate responsibilities, organize projects, and establish priorities consistent with company objectives.
Essential Functions- Finance – Maintain and control operational revenues and expenses, ensure collection procedures for accounts receivable, and complete accurate monthly reporting.
- Sales & Marketing – Oversee lease initiatives, assess target markets, direct direct marketing initiatives for maximizing tenant occupancy, update the Property Marketing Plan, and create internal sales promotions.
- Human Resources – Direct and supervise staff, maintain strong communication with internal departments, and ensure legislated health and safety policies are followed.
- Administrative – Maintain a detailed log, document complaints, organize office files, and coordinate policy changes.
- Tenant Life – Ensure the safety and well‑being of tenants, and receive required tenant documentation.
- Maintenance – Inspect properties regularly, monitor maintenance costs, and approve vendor repairs.
- Miscellaneous – Maintain overall esthetic condition of the property, organize property departments, and handle high‑stress situations with creative problem solving.
- Health & Safety – Ensure employees work in the manner required by OHSA and Campus Living Centres, and maintain safety equipment and training records.
- Education – Recognized College Diploma or University Degree.
- Skills & Abilities – Verbal and written communication, decision making, handling multiple projects, and providing leadership to staff.
- Experience Required – Minimum of 2 years industry experience or equivalent administrative experience.
Salary range: $60,000 – $65,000 per year.
