Equestrian Canada (EC), the national governing body for equestrian sport and industry, is seeking a dynamic sponsorship professional to join our team. In the pivotal role of Coordinator, Sponsorship & Donations, you’ll have the opportunity to cultivate meaningful partnerships and secure vital support that strengthens our organization. You’ll play a key role in supporting sponsorship and fundraising initiatives, nurturing donor relationships, and advancing the growth of equestrian sport.

PURPOSE

The Coordinator, Sponsorship & Donations plays a key role in building meaningful partnerships that advance our mission. This position connects purpose‑driven organizations and donors with opportunities to make a lasting impact, ensuring every contribution strengthens our programs and expands our reach within the equestrian community.

In this role, the Coordinator, Sponsorship & Donations is responsible for stewarding sponsor ships and donations that support the organization’s strategic priorities. This includes cultivating and maintaining strong relationships with sponsors, donors, and partners; managing sponsorship assets and deliverables; supporting fundraising initiatives; and ensuring a positive, professional, and engaging donor experience. Success in this position requires exceptional communication, relationship‑building skills, organizational strength, and a results‑oriented approach that contributes to the growth and sustainability of equestrian sport.

The Coordinator, Sponsorship & Donations ensures the seamless delivery of sponsorship commitments and donor recognition initiatives by supporting contractual obligations, nurturing partner relationships, and collaborating with internal teams to execute all elements effectively and on time.

KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
  • Support the implementation of all sponsor agreements, ensuring benefits and deliverables are fulfilled in a timely and professional manner.
  • Act as a primary point of contact for designated sponsors regarding day‑to‑day coordination of benefits.
  • Coordinate the activation of sponsor assets including branding, recognition, events, digital exposure, and on‑site visibility at competitions and programs.
  • Work closely with Marketing & Communications to ensure sponsor logos, messaging, and acknowledgements are properly executed across platforms.
  • Assist with preparation of sponsorship reports, updates, and impact summaries for partners.
Donor Recognition & Stewardship (25%)
  • Support the development and execution of donor recognition programs.
  • Ensure accurate and timely acknowledgement of gifts, including thank‑you letters, certificates, and recognition materials.
  • Maintain and update donor recognition lists for events, publications, and digital platforms.
  • Assist with donor communications, impact stories, and annual reporting materials.
  • Support planning and delivery of donor appreciation events or experiences.
Tracking & Administration (15%)
  • Support the development and execution of donor recognition programs.
  • Ensure accurate and timely acknowledgement of gifts, including thank‑you letters, certificates, and recognition materials.
  • Maintain and update donor recognition lists for events, publications, and digital platforms.
  • Assist with donor communications, impact stories, and annual reporting materials.
  • Support planning and delivery of donor appreciation events or experiences.
Internal Coordination & Collaboration (10%)
  • Support the development and execution of donor recognition programs.
  • Ensure accurate and timely acknowledgement of gifts, including thank‑you letters, certificates, and recognition materials.
