Tax Accountant, Supervisor
As a Tax Accountant, Supervisor, you are responsible for assisting Curtiss-Wright’s Tax Department in meeting its Canadian Corporate Income and Commodity Tax compliance requirements, as well as supporting the team with compliance in other jurisdictions. Your role will include general tax accounting, tax analyses and reconciliation work.
Location: Ottawa
Salary: $82,100 - $109,500

Your Challenge:
Responsible for timely and accurate preparation and review of assigned tax compliance work.
Participate in monthly, quarterly and annual tax accounting reconciliations, analyses and reporting requirements, including maintenance of Company processes and procedures.
Assist the Senior Tax Manager in responding to Canadian corporate income tax and commodity tax queries from internal stakeholders and external auditors.
Maintain current knowledge of all tax laws within area of expertise and ensure the Company maintains compliance. Communicate legislative developments that impact area of expertise.
Participate in various departmental projects as assigned.
Your Expertise:
4-6 years Canadian corporate income tax and HST/Commodity taxes experience
Experience with Tax Prep/Can Tax compliance preparation software, Microsoft Office Products, and tax research software
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong organizational skills, ability to multi-task, manage projects, and prioritize
Experience with SAP, One Stream, Syteline, Vertex.
University degree in Accounting with CPA preferred
