Senior Accountant, Consolidations - Ottawa (Hybrid)

Salary - $70,000 - $85,000

A global renewable energy company is hiring a Senior Accountant to support quarterly consolidations, financial reporting, and intercompany accounting across a large, multi-entity structure. This role partners closely with portfolio finance teams and senior leaders, and contributes to acquisition integration and process improvements within the corporate close cycle.

Qualifications>

CPA or CFE passed with strong technical accounting skills

3-5 years in public accounting (Big 4 or mid-tier ideal)

Hands‑on IFRS experience, including disclosures and consolidation work

Advanced Excel and strong systems mindset (One Stream exposure is an asset)

Experience with intercompany reconciliations, eliminations, and multi‑entity reporting

Ability to work in a dynamic, fast‑paced environment with tight close deadlines

Responsibilities

Prepare consolidated quarterly results for corporate reporting
Coordinate monthly intercompany reconciliations and elimination entries
Build supporting schedules for financial statement disclosures and management reporting
Review reporting packages from portfolio companies and provide timely feedback
Maintain SOX documentation at the corporate level and support control testing
Assist with external audit requests and documentation
Support integration of new assets and acquisitions into the consolidation framework
Identify and implement improvements to streamline close processes and workflows

Hybrid Role

4 days onsite in Ottawa.
