Income Tax Reviewer

We offer a bright, modern work environment in an office building in the east end of Ottawa. The location offers excellent east‑west highway access, and is also well situated for clients and staff located in the south end of Ottawa.

We are seeking to add an experienced accountant for personal tax season during March and April. Our hope is to also establish a relationship where contract work could be offered in future tax seasons. An ideal candidate would be a semi‑retired or retired accountant, looking for the challenge of a tax season and the fulfillment of working with a team.

Duties/Responsibilities would include:

• Review of personal income tax returns
• Assistance with oversight and training of junior staff

Candidates should possess the following:

• Well organized and able to manage multiple client tax returns concurrently
• Ability to work independently
• Strong communication skills
• Team oriented outlook
• Comfort with use of technology and tools

Candidates should have at least five years of personal tax preparation experience.

Job Type: Seasonal

Contract length: 2 months

Pay: $40.00-$55.00 per hour

• Post‑Secondary School degree (required)
• Accounting Designation (preferred)

Experience:

• Personal tax: 5 years (required)
