Junior Product Design Engineer Hours, Pay and Benefits

* Up to £35,000 salary depending on experience

* 8.30am to 5.00pm Monday – Friday, office-based role

* 33 days holiday, including bank holidays

Junior Product Design Engineer Essential Candidate Requirements

* You will hold a Product Design or Industrial Design degree.

* 2+ years experience in an industrial environment, with a good understanding of manufacturing techniques and processes.

* Solid Works proficiency – other 3D software will be considered.

* A solid communicator who is able to work as part of a team and easily engage with others.

* Ability to effectively manage time whilst working to tight timescales.

* Attention to detail, with an organised and methodical approach.

* Creative approach, with a drive to create excellent ideas.

Junior Product Design Engineer

Key Responsibilities

* The Product Design Engineer will drive the creation of next-generation products by working closely with cross-functional teams.

* Play an active role in managing product life cycles and refining designs for performance and manufacturability.

* Develop detailed 3D CAD models, assemblies, and production-ready drawings.

* Bring ideas to life through prototyping, testing, and design validation, including advanced 3D printing techniques.

* Produce clear technical documentation, visuals, and illustrations to support engineering and manufacturing.

* Ensure design quality by following structured review processes and release workflows.

* Tackle complex design challenges through creative problem-solving and iterative development.
