Construction is a growing and successful area within this Further Education College, graded Good by OFSTED in 2022
. The department has strong achievement rates and works closely with employers to ensure learners develop the skills, knowledge and behaviours required for employment and further study.
We currently deliver Level 1 and Level 2 Electrical Installation programmes and are excited to be expanding our offer to include Level 3 from September 2026
. We are seeking an enthusiastic, industry-experienced Lecturer / Course Tutor to join our team. The successful candidate will deliver high-quality practical and theory-based sessions across these programmes and support learners to achieve their full potential.
Experience with in the electrical installation industry is essential. Applicants should hold a recognised teaching qualification or demonstrate a willingness to work towards one with the College’s support. Experience of working with young people and adult learners in a Further Education or training environment would be advantageous.
The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to the achievement, progress and wellbeing of all students through high-quality teaching, assessment and pastoral support. The role includes acting as a course tutor, supporting individual learning plans, monitoring attendance and progress, and contributing to course reviews and quality improvement activities.
