Job Description Specialist, Planning & Scheduling Purpose of the role

The Planner plays a pivotal role within the Center of Excellence for Supply Chain Management, focusing on supporting planning functions complex product and asset portfolios. This position involves managing operational planning, providing project support, and offering planning leadership to ensure seamless continuity in operations. The role is designed to maintain a manageable scope for the Planning Manager, enabling effective oversight and decision‑making.

As a Planner, you will join the Integrated Process Teams (IPTs), a dynamic environment where collaboration and innovation thrive. Reporting directly to the Planning Manager, you will work alongside other planners, product coordinators, and diverse internal and external stakeholders. Your contributions will be vital in shaping planning strategies and driving process improvements. You'll have the opportunity to engage in a variety of projects and initiatives, supporting the team and enhancing your own professional growth.

Main

responsibilities
  • Translate Organon’s strategic and tactical plans into a planning framework for the IPT portfolio. Develop short‑term operational plans for each process and contribute to the IPT profit plan. Coordinate the execution of the overall planning process.
  • Ensure the smooth introduction of new chemical entities, product transfers, artwork changes, and line extensions, considering all implications for OMD. Maintain IPT data integrity and consistency.
  • Take responsibility for planning a subsystem role or ERP business process. Collaborate with SCM Improvement Engineer to define and maintain site planning procedures, policies, and work instructions in alignment with Global Supply Chain standards.
  • Collect, analyze, and monitor IPT planning data. Prioritize, adjust, and continuously improve planning processes as needed.
  • Manage supplier relationships and performance at the business level. Coordinate planning and ordering with suppliers, monitor inventory at toll manufacturers, and implement necessary process changes to meet targets.
  • Formulate and authorize change proposals in line with established procedures and guidelines.
  • Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment with contracts and service level agreements.
  • Initiate and contribute to improvement business cases and implementation of initiatives. Maintain a strong focus on quality, safety compliance, customer satisfaction, and continuous improvement.
Your profile
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree (HBO/WO) in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or Business Administration.
  • Proficient in Excel and experienced with ERP systems; SAP knowledge is a strong advantage.
  • Solid background in supply chain management with extensive experience in planning functions.
  • Excellent data management capabilities.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across diverse teams and stakeholder groups.
  • Detail‑oriented, stress‑resistant, and proactive in taking ownership.
  • Fluent in Dutch and English, with the ability to communicate clearly and confidently at all organizational levels.
