Job Description
1st Shift Brass Grinder This is an incentive based position.
1st shift hours: 4am-2:30pm
Starting Wage: $ 25.32;
Qualified Wage: $25.96;
Health Insurance Available after 60 days
ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities of a brass grinder include but are not limited to:
- Check guards, tool rests and condition.
- Lock out and tag out of equipment if necessary.
- Retrieval of parts from tub.
- Removal of excess metal from part by using proper grinding tool.
- Placing finished part in proper tub.
- General clean up of areali>
Qualifications include but are not limited to:
- Frequent lifting/carrying of up to 10 lbs, some lifting of up to 50 lbs.
- Frequent lifting greater than 40 times per hour.
- Bending/ twisting/ and standing for greater than 8 hours.
- Ability to read and write and understand training and instruction.
- Ability to work in extreme heat.
- Must be able to utilize and work around moving machinery.
- Must be able to utilize proper PPE including: respirator, metatarsal guarded boots, eye protection, hearing protection, apron, gloves and sleeves.
