Clow Valve- Brass Utility

Job Title

Clow Valve's Metal Casting Facility has an immediate opening for a 2nd Shift Brass Utility.

• Shift hours: 2:30pm-11pm
• Starting Wage: $25.96
• Qualified Wage: $26.86
• Shift differential: $0.90/hour
• Health Insurance: available after 60 days
• Sign‑on bonus: $500 after 120 day probationary period complete

• Use of grinders, band‑saws, hoist, and cranes
• Check guards, tool rests, and wheels for proper spacing and condition
• Lock‑out and tag‑out of equipment as necessary
• Retrieval of parts from tub
• Removal of excess metal from castings using proper grinding tools
• Place finished part in proper tub
• Operate brass furnace including loading and transferring molten metal to and from furnace
• Operate forklift – loading and unloading trucks
• Clean up and other duties as required

• Heavy lifting/carrying greater than 50 lbs
• Frequent lifting greater than 40 times per hour
• Bending, twisting, and standing for greater than 8 hours
• Ability to read, write, and understand training and instruction
• Ability to work in extreme heat
• Must be able to work around moving machinery including ladle, crane, and forklift
• Must utilize proper PPE including respirator, metatarsal‑guarded boots, eye protection, hearing protection, aluminized hood and leggings
