Position Title: Campus Ministry Graduate Assistant

Position Summary:

WPU aims to foster a vibrant learning community for students, staff, and faculty. Graduate Assistants will exemplify leadership, employ relevant technologies, and demonstrate Quaker virtues: simplicity, peace-making, integrity, community, and equality.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage spiritual life responsibilities in accordance with William Penn and Campus Ministry Committee guidelines, collaborating with the Youth and Young Adults Director and College Avenue Friends pastor.
  • Monitor and operate within the campus ministries budget; all purchases require approval from the Director of Student Activities.
  • Assist in recruiting and retaining religious life scholarship students, fostering leadership and spiritual growth.
  • Attend Campus Ministry Committee meetings and communicate effectively with the committee.
  • Coordinate travel plans with the Transportation Director.
  • Serve as a positive role model, monitor discipline as per scholarship and university policies.
  • Encourage and monitor attendance and academic performance of spiritual life students.
  • Maintain professionalism and integrity at all times.
  • Fulfill all assigned obligations.
  • Support staff, faculty, and administration loyally.
  • Follow the Chain of Command and university policies.
  • Perform as a Campus Security Authority and attend annual training.
  • Initiate and lead activities to enhance students' spiritual lives.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
