Employee Relations, HR Manager
Barr, Inc., the global leader in commercial refrigeration, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced HR professional to lead and manage all human resources functions, including payroll processing, benefits administration, compliance, and employee relations. We are hiring at the Manager or Director level based on experience. This full-time salaried position offers a supportive work environment and a 4-day work week that promotes work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities- Oversee and manage all aspects of human resources, including recruiting, onboarding, training, employee relations, and compliance
- Process and manage payroll, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
- Administer employee benefits programs including health insurance, supplemental coverage, and retirement plans
- Maintain and enforce HR policies, procedures, and compliance with state and federal laws
- Provide support and guidance to managers and staff on HR-related issues
- Coordinate performance evaluations and support employee development initiatives
- Maintain employee records and HR documentation
- Leverage HR systems and tools (e.g., Bamboo
HR) to streamline processes and reporting
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in HR, payroll, or a related field
- Strong knowledge of HR systems, benefits administration, and compliance practices
- Experience processing payroll and managing payroll systems
- Familiarity with HR software (e.g., Bamboo
HR), Quick Books, and ERP systems is a plus - Exceptional organizational, communication, and problem‑solving skills
- Ability to work independently, maintain confidentiality, and meet deadlines
- Experience in developing, rolling out, and executing a goal‑based performance management process
- Experience building, developing, and executing training and development programs
- Experience in creating and enhancing risk management and safety programs
- Level of comfort in both industrial and office settings
- Experience in developing and enhancing systems related to driver and forklift certifications and safety requirements
- Ability to manage and oversee key company systems such as telecommunications, video conferencing, and email communication
