As a Patient Care Coordinator, you’ll play an essential role in ensuring patients receive timely, well-coordinated care. You’ll work closely with providers, patients, hospitals, and outside facilities to schedule procedures and manage the details that make everything run smoothly.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate and schedule in-office and off-site procedures
- Communicate with patients, providers, and outside facilities to ensure everyone is informed
- Schedule with outside vendors, providers, and hospitals as needed
- Maintain provider schedules within the EMR system
- Prepare and send required documentation prior to procedure dates
- Obtain prior authorizations for applicable procedures
- Coordinate pre-op and post-op appointments
- Ensure patient accounts and scheduling details are accurate
Skills & Qualifications
- Strong ability to work collaboratively with leadership, staff, and providers
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a medical office or clinic setting
- Availability of 30-40 hours per week
- Primary location:
Oshkosh
- Prolonged sitting and computer work with high phone volume
- Light to moderate lifting may be required
- Ability to travel between clinic locations as needed
