Nurse Practitioner Neonatal

Responsibilities

• Utilizes advanced knowledge and skills to provide nursing and selected medical procedures for neonates and infants.
• Communicates and collaborates with appropriate members of the health care team, including patient families.
• Works to improve the quality of care provided to neonates.
• Advances the care of neonates through participation in and application of the research process; shares knowledge on a formal and informal basis with interdisciplinary team as it relates to specialty area.>
• Ensures the continuous quality of professional services by maintaining updated knowledge and skills.
• Maintains current and valid licensure with the State Board of Nursing to provide continuous nursing services and prevent the spread of blood borne and/or airborne diseases.

• Advanced clinical assessment skills for neonates.
• Ability to make sound and timely decisions.
• Ability to cooperate and work well with others.
