Job Title: Senior Reliability Engineer

Location: Oshkosh, WI 54904

Employment Type: Direct Hire

Work Arrangement: Onsite

Travel: Less than 10% (to other Oshkosh Corporation independence facilities and business partners)

Compensation & Benefits:

Position Summary

The Senior Reliability Engineer will interpret, plan, andumbus execute Reliability and Maintainability (R&M) requirements on government contracts. This role involves influencing vehicle system design for maintainability, analyzing failure data, and recommending design improvements to reduce maintenance impact. The engineer will collaborate with cross‑functional teams to meet and exceed customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform aftermarket supportability analysis for maintainability in engineering design
  • Collaborate with Test & Development, Design Engineering, and subcontractors to develop lifecycle support plans
  • Conduct analyses using FMECA, RCM, and LORA methodologies
  • Communicate with customers for requirements planning and execution
  • Provide technical assistance during design, prototype, pilot, and production phases
  • Recommend and implement Condition‑Based Maintenance (CBM) solutions
  • Support development of technical manuals and databases
  • Prepare and present technical reports for leadership and customers
  • Participate in design reviews, IPT meetings, and working groups
  • Perform DFMEA and root cause analysis for reliability issues
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or equivalent)
  • 3+ years of related experience in heavy equipment industry
  • Experience in reliability & maintainability engineering
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • declines ability to interpret engineering drawings and schematics
  • Familiarity with CAD modeling software
Standout Qualifications
  • Advanced mathematical and statistical background
  • Advanced technical writing skills
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems
  • Diesel/agricultural equipment repair and assembly experience
  • Familiarity with programming (Arbor Text, VBA)
  • Experience with PTC products (Windchill, Creo, Windchill Quality Solutions)
  • Vendor development and support experience
Working Conditions

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering discipline
  • A qualified candidate will have 5+ years of experience in Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (DFMEA).
