Position Summary
This position will develop and implement a program of professional educational services in Certified Production Technician (CPT) to persons in our care in order to meet their assessed individual vocational needs at Oshkosh Correctional Institution (OSCI).
This position will teach using the curriculum and competencies developed by the Manufacturing Skills Standards Council. These courses are built upon MSSC's e-learning model which includes modular courses in Safety, Quality Practices & Measurement, Manufacturing Production & Processes, and Maintenance Awareness.
This position will also complete all required documentation of student assessment / progress and other reporting requirements in a timely manner, monitor and manage student behavior, attend staffing and meetings and serve as an effective interdisciplinary team member.
This position will provide training to others, engage in specialized instruction and projects, and assist the institution with production or maintenance projects as needed.
Salary InformationThis position is in pay schedule and range 13-04 with pay starting from $30.00/hour - $35.06/hour
. Pay will be set in accordance with the Compensation Plan and Wisconsin Administrative Code in effect at the time of hire. A probationary period is required.
This position may receive supplemental (add-on) pay adjustments for additional credits relevant to the position. This add-on ranges from $0.97/hour to $2.97/hour of additional pay, based on relevant credits and professional development actions, as allowed in Section A (4.12) of the Compensation Plan.

Job DetailsThis position is not eligible for remote work and will work on site.
Anticipated schedule will be Monday – Friday 7:45 AM – 4:30 PM.
This position is FLSA Exempt.
This position is not anticipated to travel on a regular basis, but most DOC positions occasionally travel for training, meetings, conferences, or similar events.
Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States (i.e. a citizen or national of the U.S., a lawful permanent resident, or an alien authorized to work in the U.S. without DOC sponsorship) at the time of application.

QualificationsMinimally qualified applicants will have:
- Experience providing instruction or training to a group (e.g., teaching students, training multiple employees, presenting, etc.).
- Experience developing a course of instruction, training, or presentation designed to impart knowledge or skills.
- Experience, Education, or Training with manufacturing skills (e.g., taking measurements, reading blueprints, using hand tools, performing mechanical maintenance, etc.).
