We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Route Planner to manage the end-to-end coordination of route planning for a designated group of drivers. This role is critical in ensuring efficient, cost-effective, and timely delivery and recovery operations. The Route Planner will play a key role in optimizing logistics, supporting driver productivity, and maintaining high service levels.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, plan and optimize routes based on customer requirements, traffic, vehicle capacity, and operational constraints.
- Monitor open orders and inventory to ensure timely and complete order fulfillment.
- Adjust plans in real-time to accommodate delays, cancellations, or urgent requests.
- Participate in planning meetings and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Maintain accurate records of routes, delivery times, and performance metrics.
- Analyze route efficiency and recommend improvements.
- Prepare and present reports on planning KPIs.
- Process documentation related to deliveries, returns, and account administration.
- Support outbound call strategies for pre-delivery, recovery, and service bookings.
- Collaborate with internal teams to resolve issues and ensure a seamless customer experience.
- 2+ years of experience in logistics, transportation planning, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and coordination abilities.
- Proficiency in route planning software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to adapt to real-time changes and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Commitment to safety, customer service, and continuous improvement.
Other Considerations:
- Background checks including criminal checks, driver’s abstract and employment references will be requested.
- This position is fully on-site; candidates must be able to reliably commute to our Courtice Head Office.

- $55,000 - $65,000 / annum expected total compensation. Salary to be determined by the applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
