Location: CobourgJOB FUNCTIONS:
Job functions include but are not limited to the following.
Participates in overall product outcome associated with web fed flexo pressesInterprets and documents standards related to product performance/qualityAssists in the maintenance and set up of equipment for customer productAble to fill in as a catcher if neededSets up materials for press operation.Assist in the performance of equipment operations, adjustments, tests and conversions on all equipment associated with converting operationsParticipates in doing line clearance, quality checks, safety champion and production reportsTests and inspects products as required to ensure consistent quality and operational standards are maintained.Verifies and communicates both product standards and work standards to execute production.Follows customer packing specs and reports on any outagesHas a valid lift tow walkie licensePerforms other organizational duties as required.
Education and Experience
Required:
Grade 12 or acceptable experience.On-the-job related experience required.Skills and Physical Requirement:
Basic computer skills, data entryGeneral schedules are an 8hr 3 shift operation and/or 12-hour continental shifts with rotating weekends off, however, employees must be willing to work alternate schedules or overtime that may include early mornings, nights, and/or weekends and be punctual while doing so.PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Sitting or standing for extended periods.Awkward and/or repetitive movements.Occasional walking, bending and turningFrequently reaching and twistingLifting up to 50 lbs.Use of various hand and electrical tools and equipment.Work in areas of fluctuating temperature.GPI’s Benefit Program
