Are you a bilingual HR professional with a passion for people, process improvement, and employee engagement?
East Penn Canada is seeking an engaging Bilingual Human Resources Generalist to join our HR team at our state-of-the-art Head Office in Courtice, Ontario.
In this 100% onsite role
, you’ll contribute to impactful HR programs, recruitment, and employee engagement initiatives.
- Act as the primary HR contact for approximately 50 Quebec-based employees and partner with HR Business Partners to provide guidance to managers
- Support the development and implementation of HR policies, programs, and initiatives
- Support Talent Acquisition Specialist with French, Bilingual, and Operations recruitment
- Champion the company by participating in career fairs, and supporting onboarding, recognition, employee engagement, and training programs
- Prepare and maintain accurate documentation and input for key HR processes, such as promotions, terminations, and performance management actions
- Enhance employee engagement by building trusted relationships with employees, while providing exceptional customer experience
- Conduct exit and stay interviews, analyze feedback, and provide insights to HR Business Partners
- Champion innovation and continuous improvement as methods to improve HR
- Draft HR communications and training materials; translate and adapt for French-speaking employees, as required
- 3-5 years of progressive HR generalist, or related HR experience
- Fluency in French and English (verbal and written) required
- Knowledge of provincial employment legislation
- Post-secondary diploma or degree in HR, Business, or related field
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and prioritization skills
- Proactive problem-solving skills and ability to influence
- Strong critical thinking skills and ability to take initiative
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and HRIS systems
- Proven ability to navigate a variety of tasks, while maintaining an optimistic attitude
- Works effectively as part of a dynamic team and contributes to a positive team environment
- Background checks including criminal checks, employment references, and driver's abstracts will be requested
- Applicants who are interviewed for this position will receive a notification regarding the hiring decision within 45 days of their final interview date
- Expected hiring range for this position is $60,000 - $75,000 annually including bilingual premium (exact annual salary offered to the successful applicant will be determined by the candidate's experience, education, related knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data)
