Job Summary
Under the direction of the Secondary Production Supervisor, this position performs skilled work in the preparation and operation of pad printing machines in a printing department. Work may include manual labor such as printing, packing, sorting, cutting, or oiling parts.
Summary of essential job functions and responsibilities- Prepares job by assembling jigs, obtaining blueprints, set-up sheets, printing plate and ink for operation of printer, and assembling boxes for packing
- Loads parts onto turntable jigs for printing
- Examines finished product for quality
- Completes paperwork by recording job time and parts completed
- Packages materials for shipping
- Transports products to shipping area manually or by means of a pallet jack
- Responsible for cleaning up machine and work area, or as assigned
Minimum Requirements
- Ability to work in a fast-paced production area
- Ability to work efficiently on the various punch and print machines
- Ability to meet required production averages on job
- Ability to read a blueprint and fill out production paperwork
- Ability to speak, read, write and understand English
Required
- Must be able to lift 10 pounds regularly and up to 40 pounds
- Must be able to sit or stand for long periods of time
- Must be able to work effectively in a shared work environment as a member of a team workforce
- Must be able to reach, twist, bend, squat, push, pull and climb continuously as needed
- Occasionally exposed to seasonal temperature extremes
- Occasionally exposed to chemical substances and/or fumes (protective equipment available)
- Noise level is usually moderate (hearing protection available)
