Overview
A Welder will assemble, fit, tack and weld a variety of complex fabrications and assemblies.

The right candidate will- Work from drawings and sketches with minimal instruction.
- Assemble parts in proper sequence and place bracing to minimize distortion.
- Perform welding operations such as arc, MIG, TIG, brazing and burning in all positions on a variety of metals.
- Operate drill press to make parts for fabrication; utilize crane and material handling equipment.
- Use precision measuring tools and read/interpret prints, including welding prints.
- Weld per SMAW, GMAW, and GTAW standards in vertical up, vertical down, and horizontal positions.
- Perform plasma arc cutting, air carbon arc cutting, pipe bending, fitting, welding and threading.
- Use horizontal and vertical saws, torch and cut-off wheel.
- Set up and operate all welding machines and basic troubleshooting; set up and operate all machines in the fabrication area with basic troubleshooting.
- Follow instructions and established procedures.
- High school diploma or GED preferred
