Job Description

Holtec International seeks qualified applicants for its 2nd Shift Team Lead position to assist the Supervisor in the day‑to‑day operations. The essential job functions include supporting nuclear safety, working safely and supporting the Company’s efforts related to providing a safe work environment and promoting safe work practices in the assigned work area. Intervene to correct unsafe behaviors or escalate to management when necessary, produce quality work, elevate potential quality issues and provide feedback to management, work well with others and across departments, envision the bigger picture as a whole and achieve a smooth turnover between shifts, and work as a partner with management.

Receive verbal/written instruction from supervisor/manager, complete work orders or other documents regarding daily assignments, attend in‑person or Teams meetings and communicate via email, mentor/train new employees on safe work practices, shop procedures, safety, quality and productivity, perform pre‑job briefs, toolbox talks and turnover updates, input data into various spreadsheets, applications and databases, direct and delegate work activities within the department, make suggestions for process improvements and engage employees to participate, complete and/or review documentation and reports related to the department, work with HR to resolve and address employee relations concerns, and adhere to all Holtec Intl/Orrvilon, Inc policies and procedures as outlined in the company handbook.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate should have experience in a manufacturing environment, proven track record that details a successful work history, average computer skills, experience in reading drawings and have comprehension of blueprints, previous experience leading manufacturing employees in a metal manufacturing environment preferred, communication skills to present information to individuals and groups, dependability, time management, attention to detail and organizational skills to achieve established goals.
