Head Veterinary Surgeon

We are working with a well-established independent small animal practice in Orpington that is seeking a Head/Lead Veterinary Surgeon to join their dedicated and friendly team.

This is a full-time position (40 hours/week), with a balanced mix of clinical and leadership responsibilities. You’ll be guiding two other vets while collaborating closely with the Senior Veterinary Surgeon, Head Nurse, and Head Receptionist to maintain exceptional clinical standards and team culture.

• 40 hours per week – either 4 long days (9:00–7:30) or 5 shorter days if working a 1 in 3 Saturday
• 1.5 hours lunch break (half hour paid)
• No OOH – covered by external provider
• Mix of consultations and surgeries
• Opportunity to lead and mentor a small clinical team

• Up to £75,000 per annum
