• Open and close the store in the absence of store management, including all required systems start‑ups, required cash handling, and ensuring the floor and stock room are ready for the business day; responsible for opening the back door for deliveries.
• Complete product returns, order voids, customer refunds, cash drops to the safe, and providing change as requested at cash registers.
• Model and deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience, greeting customers and offering assistance with products and services.
• Resolve customer issues and answer questions to ensure a positive experience.
• Cooperate with coworkers to develop and maintain customer service best practices and Walgreens service traits.
• Assist and coach team members on warehouse and vendor ordering, including order review, vendor deliveries, and return processing.
• Register all related sales on the assigned cash register and handle scanning errors, price verifications, and voids.
• Assist manager or assistant manager in reviewing order exceptions, reverse logistics, evaluating displays, performing resets and revisions.
• Maintain accurate inventory counts and ensure proper pricing and signage, including compliance with local regulations.
• Assist with bookkeeping activities, cash reports, ledgers, and bill payment as requested.
• Help with exterior and interior maintenance, upkeep of store condition, and signal needed repairs.
• Ensure proper separation of food items and correct product placement; assist with stock rotation using FIFO.
• Possess working knowledge of store systems and equipment.
• Assist at the pharmacy out window, as requested.
• Ensure compliance with state and local laws regarding regulated products (e.g., alcoholic beverages, tobacco).
• Check team members’ bags before leaving the store.
• Follow all company policies, maintain respectful relationships with coworkers, and complete special assignments as assigned.

• Attend training and complete PPLs requested by the Manager.

• Serve as a liaison between management and non‑management team members by communicating assigned tasks when management is absent.
• Report disciplinary issues and customer complaints to management.

• One year of prior leadership, supervisory, or retail key holder work experience.
• Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico).
• Knowledge of store inventory control preferred.
• Employment considered for qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records.
• Obtain and maintain valid PTCB certification or pharmacy license as required by state.
