System Engineer

• systems engineering: concerned with the successful design, integration, verification, and lifecycle management of complex, multidisciplinary systems (products, services, organizations). Emphasizes whole-system behavior, requirements, interfaces, risk, and trade-offs across hardware, software, controls, operations, and people.
• mechanical engineering: focused on the conception, analysis, design, manufacture, and testing of mechanical components and subsystems (machines, structures, thermal systems, mechanisms, materials).

• systems engineering: requirements engineering, functional architecture, system integration, interface management, verification & validation, system-level trade studies, reliability/maintainability, safety analysis, configuration management.
• mechanical engineering: solid mechanics, dynamics, thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, materials science, cad modeling, finite element analysis, manufacturing processes, tolerance/specification of parts.

• systems engineering: use-case and requirements management tools (doors, jama), system modeling languages (sysml), mbse practices, system-level simulation, risk matrices, v&v plans, interface control documents.
• mechanical engineering: 3d cad (solidworks, creo), fea (ansys, abaqus), cfd (fluent, openfoam), gd&t, rapid prototyping, material selection handbooks, shop-floor practices.

• consistently uses company concepts, policies and procedures, familiar with and follows standard practices.
• projects are assigned with defined scope and goals.
• direction is provided by more senior engineering staff, management or project leader.
• participates in efforts to define new components, products or processes and identify technical challenges.
• makes suggestions to improve work processes.
• creates potentially patentable components for systems, or processes.
• plans and executes assigned projects; utilizes thorough technical and theoretical understanding of numerous; analyzes data, evaluates results, forms conclusions and provides/implements process or document improvements.
• applies advanced engineering knowledge to projects.
• utilizes doe where appropriate.
• participates in technical team activities.
• shares knowledge and expertise with others.
• participates in project planning, process updates and contributes to experimental design.
• prepares and delivers presentations of project results to own or other groups.

• knows basic and some specialized engineering techniques.

• bachelors in engineering with 4+ years of experience
