Responsibilities

Our exciting Manager‑in‑Training (MIT) program gives you the opportunity to learn and grow at an established company. The 12‑week program includes:

  • General training and comprehension – learn and perform job assignments of housekeeper, heavy housekeeper/floor tech, and laundry worker positions. Operate and teach others how to operate a variety of industrial cleaning equipment.
  • Leadership development – assist in training, quality control, and in‑servicing of staff according to policies and federal/state requirements.
  • Policies & procedures – lead and support to ensure quality standards, inventory levels, safety guidelines and customer service expectations are met.
  • Reporting – maintain records of income, expenditures, supplies, personnel, and equipment.
  • Training – responsible for all training, quality control and in‑servicing staff to meet HCSG standards.
  • Leadership – handle payroll, staffing patterns, coaching, discipline, purchasing, inventory, budgeting.
  • Communication – convey directives from client managers, building occupants and administrators.
  • Safety – use protective gear, monitor cleaning solutions, report equipment needs, maintain safety and infection‑control standards.
  • Punctuality – consistent attendance and timely completion of assigned cleaning areas.
  • Customer and resident experience – represent HCSG positively and courteously.
