Note:

This role is not remote and requires in-person work. You will start a flexible part-time schedule in the fall to prepare for the busy tax season and transition to full-time from January to April, including evening and weekend hours as needed.

• Provide leadership over three H&R Block tax offices and lead customer-centric teams to accelerate seasonal tax business.
• Serve as the front-line manager responsible for leadership and development of associates, delivering an outstanding client experience, and achieving office growth objectives for three tax offices.
• Lead daily team meetings, communicate essential information, and create associate work schedules across all offices.
• Manage office staffing, operations, and logistics with support from Associate Team Leaders; ensure accurate timekeeping and labor management.
• Partner with the District General Manager to create and implement office-level growth plans and client growth targets, including developing local partnerships and managing office community involvement.
• Assist DGM in recruiting and interviewing candidates for tax office positions; conduct timely performance reviews and address performance concerns with the Associate Relations Center as needed.
• Build an engaging team environment across all offices through training and coaching; travel between offices as required.
• Prepare tax returns as needed, upon successful completion of the Income Tax Course or Tax Knowledge Assessment.

• People management experience with the ability to grow and develop associates.
• Ability to execute growth plans and lead toward a growth culture; strong decision-making in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a customer-centric mindset.
• Computer proficiency in MS Office.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or a high school diploma with equivalent experience.
• Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment or Income Tax Course (if preparing tax returns).
