Summary

Florida Health Care Plans, a large multi-specialty staff model HMO, is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider to float between six (6) EHCC locations. This position is three 12-hour shifts / 36 hours weekly, with a rotating 4-hour shift on Saturday. The Advanced Practice Provider shall provide necessary and appropriate urgent care services, within the scope of the Advanced Practice Provider's training and experience.

• Deliver patient-centered, compassionate care
• Continuously enhance clinical knowledge
• Collaborate with nurses, medical assistants, and other healthcare providers to ensure continuity of care
• Complete documentation, billing, and coding as required by healthcare regulations and standards
• Attend staff meetings, training, and continuing education as required
• Treat Urgent Care presentations such as Chest Pain, Diabetes, Asthma, COPD, etc.
• Perform foreign body removal
• Laceration repair and suturing skills
• Abscess incision & drainage
• Diagnose, treat, and splint fractures
• Obtain DOT Certification within 30 days
• Preferred experience:
  
  professional examination such as Firefighter’s physical
• Proficient in Electronic Medical Records (EMR)
• Worker’s Compensation experience preferred

• Advanced Practitioner / Physician Assistant Florida licensure
• Minimum 3 years of post-licensing experience working independently in family medicine, urgent care clinics, or a combination
• Graduate of an accredited APRN, NP, or PA program
