Sanitation Worker; Janitor 2nd Shift

Description

Penske Logistics is looking for warehouse associates to join an excellent team. This role is ideal for safety‑conscious individuals with a pleasant, outgoing attitude who want to excel in a warehouse environment.

• Competitive wage: $16.00/hr base rate
• Shift differential: $0.50/hr
• Cold storage facility: 28 °F to 55 °F

Sunday to Wednesday, 3:00 pm start until finish.

• Proficient in mopping, sweeping, scrubbing, and vacuuming surfaces
• Empty trash bins and clean trash areas daily; operate trash compactor as applicable
• Pull pallets and clean/scrub product bays on a rotating basis
• Clean up spills or breakages, recoup damages, and determine resale or disposal per food‑safety standards
• Clean other warehouse and office areas, including break rooms, restrooms, and offices
• Complete daily sanitation logs
• Utilize chemicals, detergents, and cleaning equipment
• Operate scrubber and pallet jacks as required
• Identify and address cleanliness and sanitation issues; comply with all safety requirements
• Escalate issues promptly to supervisor
• Electronically scan products using a warehouse management system
• Operate forklifts or pallet jacks to transport stored items from warehouse to plant or to pick up items from several locations for shipment
• Perform other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor

• No prior warehouse experience required (preferred)
• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
• Proficient reading skills and ability to follow directions (required)
• Work independently; customer‑service oriented; multi‑tasking and organizational skills; flexible and effective with numbers and time management (required)
• Flexibility to work overtime (preferred)
• Experience working in non‑climate‑controlled conditions (required)
• Regular predictable full attendance is essential
• Willingness to work required schedule at specific location (required)
• Complete Penske employment application, submit to background investigation (past employment, education, criminal history), and drug screening (required)
