Transportation Bus Driver - Part Time, Walt Disney World
The Walt Disney World Resort is recruiting Transportation Bus Drivers who are positive, careful, and passionate about maintaining the safety of our guests as they travel multiple routes within our parks and resorts. As part of our hardworking team, you will observe Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations, other state and local traffic laws, and meet Department of Transportation Physical Standards.
A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) is not required for consideration, but will be required if hired. Selected candidates receive paid training to acquire a CDL, and the cost will be reimbursed. Candidates must have a valid Florida Driver’s License to begin the CDL process.
Pay rate for this role in Florida is $23.50 per hour.

Responsibilities- Maintain the safety of our guests while operating vehicles, including buses and passenger vans, and take ownership during emergency situations.
- Conduct vehicle inspections, ensuring high precision and safe driving in various environments (pedestrians, wildlife, other guest vehicles) and under different lighting and weather conditions.
- Greet guests warmly as they board the vehicle.
- Speak and communicate with guests over a microphone to provide safety and other information.
- Know all routes and roadways to all destinations within Walt Disney World Resort, including theme parks, water parks, resort hotels, and Disney Springs.
- Adapt to route changes with short notice due to guest demand.
- Assist guests with boarding and operate an accessibility lift as well as push and pull wheelchairs.
- Perform lifting, bending, stooping, and twisting while using belts and straps to secure guests for a safe ride.
- Load/unload Electronic Convenience Vehicle (ECV) and folding strollers.
- Interact with a professional motor vehicle software system.
- Climb to varying heights as required.
- Keep vehicles clean and presentable at all times.
- Stand for prolonged periods to perform crowd control during peak operational hours in outdoor settings during different weather conditions.
- At least 5 years of continuous valid licensed operating experience, with the last three years in the United States. If the license was held in Puerto Rico, US Virgin Islands, or any US Territory, you must hold a valid US Driver’s License from the continental United States (including Hawaii and Alaska) for at least one year.
- Minimum age 21 years due to licensed driving requirements.
- Full availability for the first 8–12 weeks after the start date.
- Part‑time drivers must select one day from Saturday or Sunday as one of the three available days; the remaining two days can be any other days.
- Ability to communicate verbally and in written English to guests and Dispatch Operators.
- Proven record of following state and federal motor vehicle regulations.
- Must meet Department of Transportation Physical Standards and Regulations.
- After training is completed, maintain a Florida CDL throughout employment.
- Florida CDL Class A or B with Passenger Endorsement.
- Related bus driver experience.
- Bilingual abilities.
Our theme parks and resort hotels operate 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Schedules and start times vary.
